What are the reinforcement patches for in the Precut tarp kit?

The 3x3 squares are for panel pullouts. The 1/4 circles are for the corner tie outs, and the 1/2 circles are for the ridgeline tie-outs. They stay circular and are radial to better distribute the force onto the fabric.
