What to do if tracking says my order is delivered, but I can't find it

In the event shipment tracking states your package has been delivered, but you cannot find it, there are a few things you can do.

First, speak directly with either your postal carrier (if package sent via USPS) or FedEx driver (if package sent via FedEx). Ask them if they remember delivering your package on the day/date it was supposed to be. 

Second, reach out to your neighbors. It's possible the package was simply delivered to the wrong address. 

In our experience, around 80% of packages can be located just by taking these two actions. In addition, please consider the following steps:

  • Verify the shipping address
  • Look for a notice of attempted delivery
  • Look around the delivery location for your package
  • See if someone else accepted the delivery at your location (e.g. a sibling or house mate)
  • Some packages travel through multiple carriers; check your mailbox or wherever else you receive mail
  • Wait 36 hours - in rare cases packages may say delivered up to 36 hours prior to arrival

If after five business days you have been unable to locate your package, please contact customer support for further details.

  • Why scan a package saying delivered if it was not. I've taken these steps,even checked my motion detection cameras,besides me being home no more then 8ft away from a glass door, driver went next door never came to my door,says he put by my front door.
    Now I'm out 300 bucks and no package,thanks FedEx

  • Our Fedex driver runs through our apartment halls and just drops the packages without knocks or tags on doors. Thieves easily steal them on a regular basis and Fedex says delivered end of story bye, bye. They need to be sued.

  • I sent my daughter a package from Amazon and it was expected on Jan. 8th, there was an "undeliverable" message 2 days in a row despite the fact that there is a mail room at the apartment and someone in the apartment the whole time all day. Today it's scheduled to be delivered and the apartment manager is waiting for it in the mail room and my daughter is in her apartment I get a notice it has been delivered to that exact address. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. The apartment has made complaints against Fed Ex for "just putting the deliveries anywhere they want and noting they delivered it to the correct address". I will be complaining until I have results.
